A very special practice comprising yin yoga (led by Anna) and yoga nidra (led by Suzi) focusing on the promotion of space, lightness, ease, healing that comes with conscious deep rest. Cocoon with yourself in the peaceful surrounds of the Wee Retreat or in the comfort of your own home and be guided through 45 minute of yin yoga followed by a half hour guided yoga nidra practice - the practice of psychic sleep. For those joining in person, proceedings will begin with a cup of tea together. Yin yoga is an asana based practice where we hold passive poses for time. Staying close to the ground and supported by props, we meld gravity and time to create release and space in the deepest tissues of our body. Yoga Nidra is a meditative practice where you invite the body to sleep as the mind stays aware and awake, with practice yoga nidra leads you into the fourth state of consciousness, the liminal space between dream and awake. Both practices invite the practitioner to tap into their parasympathetic nervous system, the state of rest, digest, restore and heal.
